Summer Conditioning Camp

June 22 (Mon) - Conditioning Camp begins.

Stadium Seat Renewals

The Golden Panther Booster Club's 2009 membership drive is underway!  All 2008 GPBC members wishing to guarantee renewal of their "luxury reserved stadium seats" must inform the TDC.  If you would like to renew your seats please contact Kim Weir (trioofjags@aol.com) or David Gray (graymatter@afo.net) and your information will be provided to the GPBC.

All other "luxury stadium seating" will be reserved on a "first come first serve" basis.   The GPBC is accepting membership contributions online at www.neasegpbc.com.  The site is not quite ready but will be available in the near future so check it regularly for online membership information and processing.
Please remember to allocate your GPBC contribution to football!  Thanks for your support of the Panthers!

Volunteers Needed

Game Day Field Prep:  If you are interested in helping get the field/logo ready for regular season games, please contact Bobby Marvin at slm73@att.net.  The field painting is usually done 2 days before the game depending on weather.   We all want our field to look good, so come out and join the fun, get a little green and gold on your fingers!

Team meals:  If you are interested in helping feed the team on Game Day we need about 8 volunteers to help set up, serve and clean up.  Volunteers need to be in cafeteria by 3:00 P.M.  If you are interested please email Kim Weir  trioofjags@aol.com

Apparel & Concessions:  Our apparel and concession areas need volunteers for the regular season.  Both of these groups are very important to our fundraising efforts and our game day presentation and are a great way to get involved with the Nease Football family!  Please e-mail Maria Cavanaugh (apparel - cavmaria1@litestream.net) and/or Janet Hartrim (concessions - jhartrim@bellsouth.net) if interested.

7 on 7 Passing Tournaments

The following is the schedule for the 7 on 7 passing tournaments that we plan to attend this summer. This will generally involve offensive backs and receivers, and defensive backs and linebackers.

  • July 10 - Foley AL tournament (qualifier for Hoover AL tournament).

  • July 16 - Colquitt GA tournament (we are defending champions!)

  • July 23 - Hoover AL tournament

Parents Join The Golden Panther Booster Club

As you may or may not know we get ZERO Dollars from the county to support Nease football.  When a stadium speaker goes out (and one did recently) we must pay for it, when the fields need repair, we pay for it.  We pay for uniforms, balls, transportation...everything our student athletes need to be successful.  Our Nease parents have recognized the importance of High School athletics and every year we come close to 100% booster club participation. We need to maintain that participation level this coming year as well.

Please join the GPBC - here is the form (Click on links-Page 1 and Page 2).  Be sure to  designate "football" as the $$ recipient and your son's football fundraising team will be credited.

Here's another reason to join the GPBC.  This year the Athletic Department will charge each sport participant an athletic use fee.  It will be $50 for the first participant in the first sport and then less thereafter for each participant and/or sport.  A family having 2 children each participating in 2 sports will be subject to 4 athletic use fees with the fees on a graduated scale.  If you join the GPBC, the booster club WILL PAY ALL ATHLETIC USE FEES.

Donovan's

Our new post game gathering place is going to be Donovan's at Palencia. They have given $1500.00 to be the spring game t-shirt sponsor and to be an $800 stadium sign sponsor.  They will stay open late for our groups so show them your support and patronage.

Communications Sign Up

In an effort to utilize all the latest technology for better communications we are starting a sign up list for those who want short updates by texts for last minute changes, cancellations, etc.  Send an email to the Sandra Marvin at slm73@att.net and provide your cell number to be included in a group text notification system we are working on setting up.  Watch here for when it is activated.

Also setting up a Twitter account for the same reasons. Will post the information as it becomes available.
