Abdullah - Defensive Line
After assisting the Nease staff for the previous three years, Coach Abdullah enters his first full year at Nease as defensive line coach. After a lauded high school career at Fletcher HS in Jacksonville Beach, Coach Abdullah attended Clemson where he played in 34 games (26 starts) and posted career numbers of 198 tackles (114 solo), three fumble recoveries, 16.5 sacks and two interceptions. He was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft and spent two seasons (1999-2000) with the Cleveland Browns. As a rookie, he finished fourth on the Browns with 90 tackles in 16 games, including 13 starts. After sustaining injuries during his 2nd NFL season with the Browns, Coach Abdullah played six seasons in the Canadian Football League (2002-07) with the Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders, including a Grey Cup championship year in 2003 with Edmonton. He is a business development consultant and he and his wife Denise are the proud parents of Arahim 12, Tahirah 5, Jalil 3 and Jaidon 2.
